Barbara Laird is the founder and principal of Houghton Laird Consulting. She has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field and over 10 years specializing in web development. Before Houghton Laird Consulting, Barbara was a lead engineer at Network General, Claris (Apple), and Metaphor (IBM). She has developed web applications that span the range of complexity from database driven dynamic sites that serve thousands of users a day to simple html sites.
